In Camila Vallejo’s Footsteps

“I had heard a lot about the joyful, carnival madness of the marches: hundreds of thousands of people roiling the streets of Santiago, with bands and costumes and colorful signs and floats and shouts,” Francisco Goldman writes in his piece on Camila Vallejo, the Chilean student leader. Goldman goes on to describe a march in which protestors dressed as zombies and danced to “Thriller.”
